The Pro AV Golf Tournament, the annual charity golf tournament for AV professionals, is taking place at Glen Eagle Golf Club in Caledon, ON September 21, 2011 with a start time of 8 a.m.
Cost to participate is $145 for golfers. This includes green fees, power carts, continental breakfast, BBQ lunch, and all taxes and gratuities. Non-golfers have the option of paying $45, which covers the BBQ lunch.
Net proceeds go to the Friends of Music Therapy, which supports the Toronto Hospital for Sick Children Music Therapy Program.

Today would have been guitar legend Les Paul’s 96th birthday. The iconic pioneer who led the charge in solid-body electric guitar development passed away in 2009 but his name and legend live on. To commemorate this anniversary, Google’s home page features a playable “Guitar Doodle”.

The Music Industries Association of Canada (MIAC) has announced the election of Dale Kroke to the office of Chairman of the Board.
Kroke, Senior VP & GM of B & J Music Ltd., in Mississauga, ON has been a supporter of MIAC for many years, having served as Vice-Chairman and Treasurer of the Board of Directors. He will serve a two-year term.
Kroke received his B.Sc. in Music Education from North Dakota State University. In 1993 he received his Masters in Music Composition from the Hartt School of Music at the University of Hartford. In 2004, Kroke received his MBA from Queens University in Kingston, ON. |
